Born and raised Annecy, France, Jean Postec was so inspired by watching Bart Simpson ride a skateboard (yes, the cartoon character), that at age nine, he talked his parents into getting him his own axe which he began riding fervently.
By 14, he was traveling through North America and at age 16 had set up headquarters in San Diego, California. A consistent top 10 finisher in the X Games and AST Dew Tour events, Postec is recognized by his peers as one of the talented New Bomb Turks of Vert skating. In fact Tony Hawk recently said of Postec, “I have seen the future of Vert and his name is John Postec.” Hawk also considers the Frenchman him to be one of the top five Vert skaters in the world and skater with every, technically honed 540 trick known to man in his repertoire.
