Back to Monster Army

Overview

How I got started:

I am originally from Austin, Tx but I now reside in Denver, Co. I started riding a bike at 18 months old. I went to my first MX race and they had BMX racing in 1976. I began racing bicycles at the age of 6 in 1977. By age 8 I was the Top Rider in my age group in the state, the next year I was the #1 rider in ABA Texas-4 and I held that title for 2 years 1979 & 1980. I raced BMX for 9 years until I was 15. At age 15, I had a very accomplished resume of races and finishes. I raced BMX off and on for the next 10 Years.

Goals for the Future:

I have numerous goals for 2009. I intend to podium overall in the MSC series as an expert rider & and finish in the Top 10 in both Cruiser and age class in ABA Co-02. I want to win a NORBA National and a big BMX race in the Cruiser & Expert categories. In addition to these things, I intend to keep pushing the limits of my bicycle abilities on a regular basis and also get back to my natural abilities that lead me to a successful BMX career. I intend to help guide Team Kozos to new heights.

What inspires you to compete?

What inspires me to compete is the need for the excitement and jubilation that you get when you finished well. The feelings of the Agony of defeat drive me to go faster, train harder and to focus more. The people you meet at races and the comadary of other riders and friends you make along the way on the journey of life. I have been riding and racing bicycles since I can remember and to be honest, I just love it and it`s in my blood.

Notes About Me:

I have been riding and racing bikes for more than 29 years! In 1997, I moved to Colorado  from Austin, texas. It has turned out be the best move I could have ever made for myself. In the years since I moved to Colorado, I have met my soul mate, +married her and now have 2 awesome children. I began riding mountain bikes in 1997 for fun and recreation. In 2003 I raced my first Mountain bike event and finished 4th even after 2 crashes and a Torn ACL. In 2004 I was unable to race because of recovering from ACL replacement surgery. In 2005 I was a founding member of "Team RPR" and raced almost all of the Mountain States Cup Series and our Team finished 6th in the Gravity series overall with a minimal amount of riders on the team. In 2006 we formed a new team and my current team. Team Kozos. www.kozos.net For the 2006 MSC series we finished 2nd overall in the Gravity Team overall points. For 2007, Our goal is first.
