Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki boasts the most powerful AMA Supercross Lites team on the circuit

CARLSBAD, Calif., (Jan. 5, 2006) – Officials at Monster Energy wanted to take a moment to wish their Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series riders the best of luck for the coming competition season.

“Monster Energy is back with even more love for the sport of Supercross in 2006,” said Monster Energy spokesman Scott Sepkovic of Crown AMG. “Everybody back at Monster Energy headquarters were going Richter when Tedesco and Langston won the Supercross titles last year. Monster Energy easily had the most visibility out of any energy drink on the tour last year. And with that in mind they’ve upped the ante for ’06 with Pro Circuit/Kawasaki.”

The mighty Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team features racers Grant Langston, Ryan Villopoto, Ben Townley, Chris Gosselaar and Troy Adams. And though Langston returns as the only defending champion (AMA SX Lites East), Townley was the 2004 GP Series’ MX2 class champion and third in MX1 last year. In ’04 Townley won nine GPs to become the World 125 GP champ.

Langston will for certain be the leader of the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team. A former GP champ himself (125 class in 2000), Langston added an ’05 125 class Supercross title to his 2003 Outdoor National 125 class title – making him the only racer in the sport’s history to win those three coveted 125 class titles.

Adding to the Monster Energy-fueled firepower of Langston and Townley will be arguably the fastest AMA rookie motocrosser last year – Washington’s Ryan Villopoto. The Horizon Award winner for the top amateur last year turned pro at Binghamton and paid instant dividends for Mitch Payton’s team, capping the season off with a season-best second place finish at the rugged Glen Helen track.

The final racer in the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki line up was supposed to be Floridian Flyer Troy Adams. But Adams, who was on the 125 class podium two years ago at Steel City and last year at the Daytona Supercross, injured his leg and is not expected to race until the eastern portion of the AMA Lites class kicks in at St. Louis’
Edward Jones Dome (Feb. 18th). Taking Adams’ place with the team will be a formidable athlete, no stranger to the front-runners of the AMA Lites class – Chris Gosselaar.

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team sponsors include: Parts Unlimited, Thor, Scott, Maxima, Amp’d Mobile, KMC Wheels, Vans, Bridgestone, Hinson Clutch, Components, Showa, The Garage People, Troy Lee Designs, Excel, Renthal, N-Style, Works Racing Parts, Twin Air, VP Racing Fuels, Athena, Motion Pro, DP Brakes, RK Racing Chain, UFO, Mechanix Wear, CTI2, Vertex, Alpinestars, PPG, Trek Bicycles, Imagine It Graphics.

Defending AMA Lites Western Region and AMA National MX Lites champion Ivan “Hot Sauce” Tedesco will run Monster Energy logo again this year

CARLSBAD, Calif., (Jan. 6, 2006) – A fitting agreement between the sport of motocross’ highest profile energy drink – Monster Energy – and one of the sport’s most successful racers – Ivan Tedesco – came together recently with Tedesco agreeing to rock the glowing Monster Energy rrripped “M Claw” logo for the 2006 season.

“Monster Energy has a highly successful and visible history with Ivan and we’re certainly pleased to bring him back on board this year,”
said Monster Energy spokesman Scott Sepkovic of Crown AMG.
“Supercross champion, Outdoor Nationals champion, Motocross Des Nations champion and now AMA Supercross class contender. There’s not many more athletes that Monster Energy backs – in all of the action sports combined – that had as good a year as Ivan did in 2005.

“And we’re looking forward to being there with him during his continued success in 2006.”

Tedesco, who has moved from the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki program to the Makita/Suzuki team, will enjoy the great taste of Monster Energy with his new teammate and fellow Monster Energy-backed racer, Ricky Carmichael.

“I’ve definitely had a good relationship going with Monster Energy and look forward to continuing with them this season,” said Tedesco.
“The fact that Ricky’s also aligned with Monster Energy shows the company’s strong commitment to the sport, which is something I think fans of motocross and action sports definitely appreciate.”

Monster Energy supports the sport. Be it motocross, surf, skate, snow, BMX – name it – the athletes are rockin’ Monster Energy more than anything these days. Check out all the flavors – Original Monster Energy, Monster Energy Lo-Carb, Monster Energy Assault and the new Monster Energy/fruit juice hybrid called “Khaos.” Ivan Tedesco digs it – so will you. Greatest motocross racer of all time will rock the glowing Monster Energy ripped “M Claw” for the 2006 AMA Supercross and Outdoor National series

CARLSBAD, Calif., (Jan. 5, 2006) – Synonymous with greatness in racing and energy drinks, two of the industry’s titans agreed on a deal that will have motocross great Ricky Carmichael sponsored by Monster Energy Drink for the 2006 Supercross and Motocross seasons.

“It’s probably like how the New York Yankees felt when they landed Babe Ruth,” said Monster Energy representative Scott Sepkovic of Crown AMG. “We share the opinion Ricky Carmichael is the greatest motocross racer of all time. It’s truly an honor for Monster Energy to be associated with Ricky as his ‘Official Energy Drink.’”

Coming off quite possibly the greatest year ever for a motocross racer, Carmichael recently won the coveted AMA “Rider of the Year”
award for 2005. During this past racing season Carmichael won the AMA’s Supercross title, Outdoor National motocross title, the U.S.
Open and led the United States to victory in the Motocross Des Nations.

“I’m pumped to align myself with a company that has a proven track record of supporting the sport of motocross,” said Carmichael. “With its sponsorship of Pro Circuit to its $25,000 Triple Crown of Motocross (which RC won in ’05), Monster Energy has proven that it’s backing motocross like no other energy drink company out there. I’m committed to the sport, they are committed to the sport – and that’s going to make for a great relationship here as we kick off the 2006 competition season.”
