13 days to Barber. It's gonna be sweet! Hopefully it will be warmer down there in Alabama then it is here in Kansas City. I swear I smell snow in the air!

The Thunderhorse schedule has changed a bit. Brainered event was cancelled, cant afford the Cornerspin school right now, so it looks like off to Iowa on Oct. 5th, then down to Barber Motorsports Park on the 25th, and Aurro Secco Nov. 7&8th in New Mexico!! Hopefully make it once again to Bakersfeild, Ca. to do the Polen School in December, if the moutain pass isn't too snowy.

I HAVEN'T BEEN RACING MUCH THIS SEASON. I'VE BEEN BUSY TAKING SCHOOLS, LEARNING FROM THE PRO'S, AND TRAINING. MY MACHINE NEEDS AN ENGINE REBUILD. SHE'S HAD MORE MECHANICAL FAILURES THIS YEAR THAN I BARGAINED FOR.

Self Interview

What is Your Favorite Sport Bike?

I'd have to say the Ducati 1098 Superbike. Something abut Italian innovation catches my eye, plus they're really sweet machines!

What kind of other activities do you enjoy?

I really like camping & being outside, add a lake to that scene & we'll go fishing! I target practice & hunt too. Long range rifle & handgun use is is a skill that I have acquired from my father as a child. Wether I'm hanging with friends watching the races on TV or going to the races as a competitor, i enjoy life in-general.

Where I see myself in Three Years.

In three years I see myself as a career racer. I'm tring to gain as much experience as I can form anyone that will offer help. I know its going to be a tough road ahead. With the right support, help, will, determination, & strength it is all possible. I realize the sacrafices I have to make. This can only make me stronger as a person. I love my sport & my goal is to accomplish myself as a career racer

SOME THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT LUKE

What inspires you to compete?

I've always been inspired to road race since i was a kid. My family was poor when i was growing up & we just didn't have the funds, things,or know how to get started for that matter. I've always had a passion for motorcycles & high speedS, putting them together & fulfilling my childhood dreams is why I race.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

My most embarrassing moment racing was at HPT in my first SuperSport race, I had sponsors, family, & friends there to watch........I ran out of gas in 4th place & had to push my bike back into the pits.

Why do you like this sport?

I like road racing not just because of motorcycles and getting to go fast, but every time you are out there, you push yourself to the limits. Just when you think your riding that fine line of crashing and not crashing, some guy/gal blows by you at speed, you cant help but to think, WOW thats awesome!!!

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

Yes I train, I'd like to think I train hard, but i know the pro's train harder. My schedule is freakin NUTZ, I'm all over the place, California to N. Carolina. When I'm not training, working, traveling, you can find me n my garage twisting wrenches on the bikes.

Employment / Experience Summary

By day I'm a pharmaceutical Laboratory Technologist. This is my first year as a amature racer. I hope to make racing my full time career,- it's a lot of work, but my will is unbreakable!!
