What inspires you to compete?

I enjoy the thrill of going door to door with another car into a corner, even more so coming out of that corner ahead of that car. I also enjoy the mental aspect of racing, in trying to outhink the other driver you are racing against, as to when you are going to make a move, or what move you are going to make. And of course, The speed! I've been a speed addict my whole life, giving my family fits!

Some Personal Information About Me:

I'm 40 years old, and have been involved in racing for over 15 years. I began racing Dirt Sprint Karts, and have raced Mini Cup Cars, Pro 4 cars, and currently race late Model Stock cars. I have crewed for a Goody's Dash Team, and was the spotter for former USAR Hooter's Pro Cup Driver JJ Pack. I'm currently competing in the ISCARS Dash touring series (formerly Goody's Dash series). I have been a Police Officer in Fairfax County, VA for 20 years. I am assigned to our Academy, as a driver training instructor. Teaching Rookie, and Experienced Officers High Speed Driving techniques, Pursuit/Emergency Response Driving, and The P.I.T. Technique at our own 1.1 Mile road course in Chantilly, VA.

How's Life Treating You?

I really cannot complain. Other than I'd like to race more. I love my job, being a driver training instructor is a natural fit for me. I have probably the most understanding wife in the world. Between my work schedule, my racing travels, she gives me all the support I could ever want.

Employment / Experience Summary

Like I said above, I've been a Police Officer in Fairfax County, VA for 20 years. I began my career on patrol, and then spent 11 years at the Motorcycle unit. I transferred to our Academy staff as a driver training instructor, and am very pleased with the move. I began racing after an incident at work that made me realize how short life really is, and that I should pursue my dream of racing. We started off woth an old used Dirt Sprint Kart, and began winning races with it. From there, I moved up to a Mini Cup car for a season, and made the move to a full size stock car in a Pro-4 car. We scored numerous wins in the Pro 4, and at the prodding of USAR Hooters Pro Cup driver JJ Pack (A former competitor of mine) I moved into a Late model Stock Car. I've worked as a crew member for other weekly series teams, a Goody's Dash Team, and I'm the spotter for JJ Pack in the Hooter's Pro Cup series.
