Hey everyone,
First off I want to say THANK YOU to all (Id name everyone but it would take to long) that have supported the team and helping out anyway that you can, you guys are the greatest. If it wasnt for you none of this would be possible.
As you all know we are a young team and last Saturday was our first race. We did not have much time to practice to maybe see what the car was doing or where we needed to make our adjustments. We just winged it and adjusted the car a little bit. Qualifying was fun I was able to qualify 10th out of 11 that started the race. After qualifying we adjusted the car a little more, but not good enough. At the beginning of the race I hung on to 10th for a couple of laps before falling back. The car was so loose and puching all the way though the turns. There were several incidents on the track. I was able to avoid them. 2 cars did not make it back on to the track. I was able to gain some positions and move into the 7th position. As the sun went down the car got even more loose and didnt want to turn at all half way through the center of the corner. There were 2 laps to go and I was trying to keep from going down another lap, I lost it coming out of turn 2 just in front of the leaders. No one hit me thank the lord. I was able to keep it off the wall and quickly get it fired and rolling again and finish the race 2 laps down in 7th position. After post race inspection the 3rd place car, Adam Brenner's motor was too far back so they moved him to the back of the field and he finished 11th. This moved me up into the 6th position. As we checked over the car after the race we realized that the car was not set up right at all, tire pressures were off, crossweight was off, sway and track bars were off and the caster camber was really off. We made the right changes so that next time I get out there I will be a serious contender. I hope to see you at the races next time routing me to victory!
