Jeremy McGrath is the seven-time AMA Supercross Champion who was so dominant in his storied career that his record of seven titles and 72 main event wins are still considered untouchable. In fact, the great Ricky Carmichael never really got all that close to McGrath’s records before finally calling time on his career in 2007. Now retired from two-wheel racing, with the support and encouragement of Monster Energy, Jeremy McGrath competes in the Championship Off-Road Racing Series Pro 2 classification, a six-point safety harness keeping him safely strapped into his Team Baldwin-backed fire breathing, teeth rattling 4,200-pound, 800-horsepower two-wheel drive pickup truck of death. “Everything that I have ever learned on my motocross bike I have been able to apply to the CORR truck and I love it.”
Jeremy McGrath is the most successful rider in AMA Supercross history. With a record 74 250cc supercross wins, the 2000 season marked yet another milestone... Jeremy won his seventh Supercross title - a feat no other racer in supercross history has even come close to! With two additional 125 Western Region Supercross Championships, one 250 Outdoor National Championship and two FIM World Supercross Championships, most within this spectacular sport feel Jeremy is to supercross what Michael Jordan is to basketball.
Jeremy is not only a world class athlete, but an exceptional entrepreneur ... forming and operating his own supercross race team. The team's inaugural year, the 2001 race season, culminated with a title sponsor deal with MAZDA. For the 2002 season, BUD LIGHT/ANHEUSER-BUSCH signed on as title sponsor for McGrath Racing and on January 2, 2003, at a standing-room only press conference, Jeremy announced his retirement from the sport of supercross while also announcing plans for what would be his 2003 farewell tour.
The first Supercross racer with his own toy line, Jeremy's affiliation with MATTEL includes the popular X-TREME CYCLE, a radio controlled motorcycle complete with a McGrath racing figure, X-TREME MOTOCROSS, with replica motorcycles and action figures featuring non-stop race action on a simulated motocross track and a Jeremy McGrath line of HOT WHEELS.
Supercross retirement has presented Jeremy with a new race opportunity...the AMA Red Bull Supermoto Championship Series. Spring 2003, Jeremy, former supercross champ Jeff Ward and popular motorsports artist, Troy Lee formed the Troy Lee Designs/Honda Supermoto team. Albeit a new and emerging sport, Jeremy has quickly become the sought after commodity within this competitive and exciting race series. Jeremy's current race efforts are sponsored by THOR/PARTS UNLIMITED, BELL HELMETS, ALPINESTARS, SPY OPTICS, DC SHOES, TROY LEE DESIGNS, HONDA, PRO CIRCUIT, HINSON RACING, DUNLOP TIRES, ASTERISK, BOOST MOBILE, KICKER AUDIO, TIGE BOATS.
Jeremy recently completed his autobiography, which is being published by publishing giant Harper Collins and hitting book shelves, January 6, 2004. Within the television and film world, the popular WB kids show MAX STEEL created an animated super hero version of the Supercross Champ for which Jeremy provides all of the voice-over work. Jeremy also appears in a popular, national 1-800-COLLECT commercial with Alyssa Milano and appeared in a cameo role in the Sony film, CHARLIE'S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE. He is also an owner and partner in Clutch Films, the production entity responsible for producing STEEL ROOTS I, II and SR3, New Blood.
A California native, Jeremy and his wife Kim reside in Southern California. In spare time, Jeremy enjoys both snow and wake boarding, boating, bmx and golf and he is currently developing his own line of motocross inspired streetwear.
